History of the Sawmill Chausse
The site of the sawmill had an industrial vocation for several centuries already. The stream that surrounds it has served to fuel
a forge that did use a high brick tower that is still in place.

When he purchased the sawmill in 1955, Pierre Chausse already has experience of timber trade that he will be able to use in this new context.
From then, he will adapt the production capacities to new technological capacities allowing a greater volume yield.
Jean-Pierre Chausse took over in 1972 after studying economics and does continue the efforts of equipment and opening new markets.
Martine accompanies and provides administrative management along with greeting clients and brokers. She also cares for the new generation who is growing up quickly.
The last two rookies of the family, representatives of the third generation are now in charge of developing the business.
Mathilde (the girl in the picture) is in charge of the administrative aspect and Edouard, who has extensive experience in wood industry
takes care of purchase, sales and production.
