Mulching, which does not leave the soil bare, is not an aesthetic solution to "dress" the earth. Mulching helps to greatly reduce the effect of evaporation phenomenon and the sweating phenomenon of the plant both in large water losses represent. Mulching allows to absorb water and maintain soil moisture.

Also, wood degradation enriches the soil with organic matter.
